The NHS in Worcestershire is looking at ways to provide high quality, safe and affordable hospital services into the future and is currently in the process of a Joint Service Review. The main focus of this review is our acute hospital services, from the Alexandra, Kidderminster and Worcestershire Royal Hospitals, and specific acute services that are provided at some of the community hospitals. We are also looking at the wider health and care system, particularly the links between acute hospitals, community services and GP surgeries.

The Specialty Doc! tor post is a permanent appointment offering the opportunity t! o develop a special interest within the Paediatric Diabetes Service. This post is a middle grade post at the equivalent of ST3 level or higher (depending upon previous experience).
The 3 PA job plan for this post does not include any nights on call. Additional work may be available at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, if desired, once the successful applicant has had appropriate background training.
Interested candidates must have experience of working in Paediatrics for at least 2 years. Candidates should hold, or be eligible for full GMC registration. Applicants should have completed at least part one of MRCPCH. See the relevant person specification for further details.
