Wyre Forest District Council in North Worcestershire is seeking to fill an exciting new role in its senior management structure.
As the Council’s deputy section 151 officer, you will w! ork closely with the Chief Financial Officer and provide senior strategic advice on all financial issues, directly managing the accountancy, internal audit, procurement and payroll teams. You will assist the senior leadership team to deliver an ambitious transformation programme, Wyre Forest Forward, and together with the CFO play a key role in developing our new corporate plan and medium term financial strategy. As with many other councils, we have major financial challenges ahead and we need an inspirational and innovative Finance Manager to help us to meet them.
