£21000 - £30000 DoE + company vehicle or vehicle allowance

An immediate, permanent opportunity ha! s arisen to join a successful health and safety consultancy services provider in the capacity of Environmental Technician / Occupational Hygienist.

The role is field based and will involve conducting risk assessments for all types of industry and workplace environments. It is anticipated that the core duties will

be:

• Hazardous substance monitoring
• Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) testing
• Noise risk assessments
• Stack emission testing
• Report writing
• Water temperature checks (for Legionella)
• Inspection and cleaning of plant

An ideal candidate will have a suitable qualification/s in occupational hygiene (BOHS or equivalent) and proven relevant experience in a similar field based role.
A newly qualified candidate who lacks practical experience can be offered the lower end of the salary band with a view to developing new skills and knowledge as they progress. Holding a qualif! ication in general Health and Safety (eg - NEBOSH Certificate)! would be beneficial.

In addition the following attributes are required:

• Strong communication/interpersonal skills.
• Self motivated and able to plan own workload
• Able to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work at height and outdoors.
• Prepared to work flexible hours.
• Full clean driving licence
• IT literate; familiar with Microsoft word and Excel.
