Based in Hartlebury, Worcestershire Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits ONE of the world’s leading providers of wall, roof and lands! caping products is currently looking to recruit an experienced and NEBOSH-qualified Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator. As part of the central EHS department and reporting to the Group EHS Manager, you would assist with the development and integration of the EHS policies and standards, ensuring company-wide compliance and helping implement a continuous improvement culture in this field. The Company’s presence in the UK is currently larger than at any point in its near 200 year history, with 150 people at their Head Office plus 914 across 4 showrooms, 13 manufacturing sites and 6 distribution centres throughout the UK manufacturing in excess of 400 products including bricks, blocks, roof tiles and pavers for the homebuilding and renovation markets.
Your role will involve dealing with the Employer Liability insurance c! laims which will include travelling to the sites and liaising ! with insurance loss adjusters, updating and maintaining the approved contractors list, organising internal EHS training and maintaining the EHS training system. Other duties will include assisting the EHS Manager (sites) and EHS Manager (Behavioural Safety) in implementing their disciplines at site level, plus helping the business meet and exceed its legal requirements in respect of environmental, health & safety. The ideal candidate for the role will be NEBOSH-qualified or working towards the qualification with experience providing a high standard of support in previous health and safety positions. You must have good communication & organisation skills and at times be able to work on your own initiative and possess excellent IT skills.
