Our client is a global Automotive supplier who is seeking a Quality Manager to manage the quality team and influence the plant team to ensure that customer, internal, supplier and quality system expectat! ions are fully delivered.
The role reports into the Operations Director
Liaise with and provide support to the customers, suppliers, NPI and engineering on the day to day and long term quality concerns and continuous improvement opportunities regarding all aspects of the operation, whilst ensuring adherence to all quality related standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Specifically implement and maintain the Quality Standard TS16949 in order to comply with customer requirements.
Ensure that problem resolution tools, such as 8D, FMEA are used to identify sustainable solutions to quality concerns.
Effectively manage the Quality department budget, ensuring that all aims and objectives are met.
Work effectively with other internal departments such as manufacturing, materials, HR and Finance in order to ensure all business requirements are met.
Ensure that suppliers are managed and developed to meet th! e requirements of the products and service in order to ensure ! the most effective on going service is provided with existing and new product information.
Communicate with the Operations team in order to inform them of current quality concerns, goals and targets. This is to ensure a multifunctional team approach in relation to problem resolution and continuous improvement.
