My client a major manufacturer for the construction industry require a Quality manager to join their team. The Quality Manager will be responsible for all Technical, Quality & Environmental! issues on site. Optimise the technical performance of the site and manage and develop direct reports.
The Quality Manager will ensure that quality levels of production are maximised within the factory at all times whilst promoting a high level of effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that the processes required for the Quality Management System on site are established, communicated, implemented & maintained.
Responsible for driving a quality
Ensure adherence with the Company’s quality system & standards in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001 for testing & sampling of the manufacturing process.
Responsible for the drying & firing process with regards to energy, labour, capacity etc. ensuring consistency with regards to shape, colour, finish, texture & durability of our products.
Continuous improvement & cost saving by reducing dry & fired waste and improving the specific energy consumption of t! he dryers and kilns.
Act as the site representative during! Internal and or External Quality Audits.
Respond to Customer Service Reports (complaint forms) as they arise and take corrective/preventative action as necessary.
Coordinate the manufacture of the new product development (NPD) process.
As the Quarry Manager for site, manage all quarry related operations including clay wins and materials management in line with set guidelines â€Â" including the quality control of all purchased raw materials.
Provide data & present reports to the management team on all technical & quality related matters at weekly production meetings.
Represent the factory on Technical & QA matters as required for Company-wide meetings.
Take part and support the 5s’s and visual management techniques.

REQUIREMENTS
The Quality Manager will have at least 2 years experience within a Quality management function similar to the attached job description.
Ideally minimum HNC/HND qualified in a chemical, material or engi! neering discipline
The ideal candidate will be a ceramicist who has practical hands on knowledge of Kilns and Dryers and raw materials.

Package
Salary 30000 to 35000
Company Bonus
40hrs 8-5pm Monday to Friday

Developing associated material and component manufacturing processes.
Qualifying materials for use in accordance with recognised standards.

Additional Skills:
Interest and aptitude in all as! pects of materials and chemistry.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with other specialists.
Good interpersonal and team working skills.
Working to customer requirements and timescales.
You will also benefit from holding an authorised security clearance to work on MOD projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for , Improving project value and project margin, Project reporting, both internally to the Business and externally to the Customer, Manage, monitor and motivate the cross-functional team assigned to the project, Working closely with the customer to understand the business requirements for the project, developing effective working relationships and on-going management processes for the project, approval and/or authorisation of documents as defined in Approved Signatory or Delegated Authorities List and Health and Safety at Work Act compliance.

You will have previous knowledge of planning, managing and delivering development and production projects involving s! mall to medium batch manufacturing of discrete and complex pro! ducts and sub-components; especially developmental projects where the parameters are constantly changing.

Engineering background and qualification preferred, probably at degree level or equivalent.
A sound commercial and financial understanding is required.
Knowledge and experience of Project Management software tools such as Primavera or Microsoft Project would also be necessary.
Good customer skills and an ability to work and communicate with people at all levels in the organisation.
Prepared to travel within the UK and Europe.
Knowledge of MoD and aerospace applications would be an advantage

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Matron within an integrated model to work across GP practices in Wyre Forest, supporting admission prevention initiatives throughout the Winter Period.

We require an individual who has the ability to actively case manage people living with complex, multiple long term conditions, in order to prevent exacerbations and maintain positive health. The post holder will need to have the initiative to manage long term conditions as well as respond to unpredicted crises.

You will need to demonstrate a high level of communication skills, possess advanced nursing skills, commitment to involve patients in their c! are and be able to work across organisational boundaries in pa! rtnership with primary and secondary care colleagues. This is a senior leaders post and the successful candidate will be expected to support and co-ordinate staff within the team.

From a nursing background, with extensive post registration experience within Acute, Community or Primary Care and recent experience at Band 6 or 7, and with the ability to prescribe independently.

The Admission Prevention Team works collaboratively with Community nursing colleagues to provide a seamless 24 hour service, 7 days per week, and therefore the post holder will need to have the flexibility to work shifts as required by the service.

The successful applicant will have experience of high volume, precision press toolmaking, utilising tungsten carbide modules and exhibit exceptional organisational skills.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Building and developing new press tools - progression and single stage - feeding back into Designs to update and improve technical drawings and documentation.
  • Producing new tools, repairs and maintenance to pre-determined standard times and estimates.
  • Using recognised problem solving techniques to analyse tool problems.
  • Strip and rebuild of tools for maintenance/ repair and re-grind.
  • Organising logistics for Spares/ repairs.
  • Analysis and actioning of tool problems in Production.
  • Management of the tool tryout process.
  • Mentoring of trainees and apprentices.
  • Promoting and utilising ! the Company's Health & Safety requirements.
  • Championing the use of appropriate PPE.
  • Promoting and striving to improve 5s Standards.
To undertake this role, the Toolmaker/Bench Hand (Progression Press Tools) must show attention to detail and be a team player
