More details about this vacancy opportunity please read the description below. 1st Line Server Service Desk EngineerMidlands based IT Support Services Company currently requires a Service Desk Engineer to join their busy remote support team, supporting a lar! ge customer base throughout the UK. Receiving calls via the 1st line engineers and remote monitoring service, you will be required to accurately analyse and remotely resolve fault calls, giving advice and support to customers as quickly and efficiently as possible. Main Duties: Working within the dedicated Service Desk the main purpose of the role is to remotely connect into customer's equipment using a suite of remote support tools to resolve their issues.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
The successful candidate will have a good ground up understanding of IT. You may be working within a similar service desk environment or have worked within an IT support team focusing on small to medium businesses. The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- Hands on troubleshooting of current Windows server operating systems.
- Hands on troubleshooting of Exchange Server, SQL, ISA, IIS, Backup Exec.
- Experience in conf! iguration of Active Directory
- Knowledge of VPN techno! logy

- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end users.
