Capita social care Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Senior Childrens residential support worker based in Kidderminster. The care home provideds support for! males and females aged 10- 17 years with have with challenging behaviours and learning disabilitiesThe roleThe successful candidate will be reporting to the Registered Manager and will be providing support role in the provision of residential care to children and young people placed at the home . The level of care at all times must be of the highest standard, and be in accordance with the children's Act 1989 & 2004, National Minimum Care Standards 2000 and our Care Policies and Procedures.The ideal candidate for this role will have * Ability and willingness to work a shift rota including sleeping in duties and on call rota * The ability to keep calm under pressure. * Experience to work alone and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues and children and young people in a clear and professional manner maintaining the rules of confidentiality as appropriate. * Ability to create and maintain a warm, nurturing and homel! y living environment and to contribute and take part in the da! y-to day running of the home. * The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding. * To develop and maintain professional relationships with, children & young people looked after at the home, families and team members.
- Qualifications and experience * Completed Certificate/Diploma Level 3 in Children and young people in the work force. * A minimum of 2 years of residential care experience essential with children and young people. * It is essential you hold: A full UK Driving Licence and have been driving for a year. The successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS disclosure (formerly known as CRB) as part of the vetting and barring process and two references.Capita Social Care and Housing is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
