OGL are currently looking for Service Desk Engineers to join our remote support team based at our Kidderminster Office, supporting our large customer b! ase throughout the UK.
Receiving calls via our call logging team and remote monitoring service, we require professional individuals who can accurately analyse and remotely resolve fault calls, giving advice and support to our customers as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Main Duties:
Working within our dedicated Service Desk the main purpose of the roles are to remotely connect into customers' equipment using a suite of remote support tools to resolve their issues.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
Successful candidates will have a good ground up understanding of IT. You may be working within a similar service desk environment or worked within an IT support team focusing on small to medium businesses.
Specific requirements for the role (in your relevant field) are as follows:
Good knowledge of computer hardware and peripheral hardware.
Configuration and support of backup software (Backup Exe! c preferred).
Knowledge of SBS applications.
! Hands on troubleshooting of Windows operating system, eg Desktop or Server.
Knowledge of VPN technology - both client and server configuration.
Knowledge of Anti Virus products - both client and management console preferred.
Terminal Server / Citrix experience.
MS Office applications - support and configuration.
Experience of virtual environments are desirable.
MAC or Linux skills are advantageous.
Whilst training will be provided as and when required, successful candidates must have the drive to self study and learn new technologies within their own time.
