We are looking for a Tendering Engineer with an engineering background and excellent project management skills to work for a company that is a leading supplier of high and ultra high pressure packaged engineered solutions to the oil and gas industries
As a key member of the company's Advance Engineering Group who deal with highly detailed and high value engineering tenders, the Tendering Engineer will need significant technical and practical understanding of mobile & fixed rotating equipment including hydraulics, electrics, diesel and pumps.
Candidates will be expected to have had substantial experience, commercial acumen and possess the ability to deliver solutions as we! ll as excellent liaison and communication skills and the abili! ty to interface with major national and international customers.
Reporting to the Commercial Proposals Manager, the role of Tendering Engineer will be to interpret and respond to a wide range of straightforward and complex technical specifications in order to propose and present design concepts and costings to customers and other stakeholders.
Day to day duties will include:
- Preparing quotations for a range of bespoke products in cooperation with the Sales & Engineering Teams
- Reviewing and translating customer's enquiries into a costed workable solution
- Submitting answers/responses to any subsequent requests for clarification
- Developing costing as part of the quotation process
- Acting as the company's internal contact point for the customer's enquiry and bidding processes
- Developing, negotiating and agreeing/confirming contract specifications with a variety of external groups, including contra! ctors, end-users and OEM companies
- Attending calls for negotiations with the customer and converting those opportunities into purchase orders.
