You will be joining a small team of ICT Technicians dedicated to the maintenance and development of the schools ICT systems, this will include such ta! sks as:
- Maintenance of IT equipment and communications within our IT repair systems.
- Support for management of IT networks in School.
- Technical support for teaching and non-teaching staff in the use of hardware and software (in and outside the classroom and including staff training sessions).
- To work alongside Subject/Curriculum Area Leaders to assist in offering ICT solutions to their identified needs.
- To install departmental/year related software as/when requested by Senior Leaders.
- IT development work (in exploring the potential of new software or establishing a new hardware installation).
- Monitoring and advising on hardware and software security.
- Light repairs of equipment around the School sites and checks on safety.
- Maintaining and monitoring the loan system for all hardware.
- Managing lighting and sound equipment: (stock control, maintenance, health and safety).
- To assist the Attendance Manager re-technical support and hardware maintenance of any electronic registration system utilised by the School.
- Other such duties as may arise in a world of fast changing technology and which may reasonably be expected to a technician.
- A readiness to undertake further accredited training as appropriate.
- Having due regard for Health and Safety issues.
- A readiness to absorb new technologies and to be a life long learner (in-house, technical literature, external courses, person to person networking) in which area full support can be expected from line management.
