Due to new client wins we are looking for BTCs to join our team in Birmingham. We are located in the city centre just 5 minutes walk from Birmingham New Street railway station and close to other public transport connections.

We have vacancies for self-motivated, professional individuals with Galileo and/or Amadeus and Air Fares qualifications to work on mixed and dedicated client sections. The ability to build relationships an work accurately under pressure, whilst offering high levels of customer service is essential.

Position Responsibilities

Travel Consultancy

• To gain a thorough understanding of customer’s business needs
• To make suggestions and assist with itinerary planning
• To provide suitable solutions to problems and provide assistance
• To provide the best possible prices and advise the most suitable product(s)
• To suggest the products of preferred partners and suppliers and increase hotel sales.
• To suggest the products of preferred partners and suppliers and increase hotel sales
• To be aware of any business, environmental trends or issues that may affect the customer’s requirement and address their needs accordingly

Customer Care

• Provide the highest level of customer care at all times
• Act with courtesy, speed and efficiency to build positive customer relationships
• To be aware of any problems or risks and escalate these immediately, so that action is taken to avoid customer loss
• Provide confirmations via CWT Iti! nerary

Traveller Services

• To be aware of and ad! here to Company procedures, policies, standards and best practice
• To maintain security of passwords and confidentiality of Company and Customer information.
• To use standard booking systems within the location
• Ensure all bookings are submitted for the necessary quality checks
• Attend and participate in all appropriate product training to ensure the best possible advice is given to our customers
• Ensure that telephones, faxes and emails are responded to within the agreed Client/Location service levels.
• To continually look for opportunities for refining and improving office efficiency whilst maintaining Company and service standards
• To plan on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and to ensure that daily duties are carried out efficiently and that all deadlines are achieved
• Optimize usage of CRS/Supplier websites for airline and general information

Colleagues

• To maintain a good working r! elationship with other team members and ensure a good working relationship within the Location and with other areas within the Company
• To assist other team members whenever necessary

Administration

• To follow administration procedures according to Company standards
• Efficient use of CRS queues and booking systems to ensure timely distribution of travel documents

Position Requirements

Good knowledge of GDS is essential (Amadeus/Galileo/Sabre)
Excellent communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to prioritise
Ability to work as part of a team
Good organisation and planning skills
Previous business travel experience preferred
