The company will be delivering high quality care to children and young p! eople in their care.
The Registered Manager will be accountable for delivering high quality care to the children and young people within this three bedded home.
Brief over view of responsibilities and duties of a registered manager:
- Delivery of all care services within the home
- Strategic planning for developments within the home, and all day to day management matters.
- Demonstrate the ability to build on the established principles and practice standards existing within the organisation
- Ensure the effective implementation of the Children Act 1989 and the accompanying guidance and regulations (Vol.4 Residential Care), the Care Standards Act 2000 and the Children's Homes Regulations 2001
- Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of childcare standards across the company.
- Deliver childcare that is focussed on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the home
- Co-ordinat! e and access the appropriate services (health, education, ther! apy) to ensure the needs of each child and young person is met.
- Demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person.
- Supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, training, and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home.
Applicants must have NVQ Level 4 in Management or Care and / or be DIPSW qualified. You will also have achieved or be working towards the Registered Managers Award.
Applicants will have to pass an interview with OFSTED subject to approval.
