My client specialise in the manufacture of food products that are distributed worldwide, they enjoy year on year growth and dominate the global market. They are a family run organisation who strongly believe in good moral values and equal treatment and opportunities. As a business they have plans to increase output by 20% by the end of 2014 so this is an exciting time to join the company.
In this role you will be expected to take the initiative and effectively lead a cell of production operatives to ensure that daily and weekly targets are met. You will also be tasked with organising holiday, overtime and staff meetings. Whilst doing this you will be expected to undertake continuous improvement so efficiency can be optimised.
This is an excellent chance for a production worker to take the next step in a career and increase earning's through overtime.
T! he role:
- Shift work - week 1 - (6am-2pm)// we! ek2- (2pm - 10pm)
- Leading a cell of production operatives
- Managing all aspects of the cell
- Reporting to the team leader
- Continuous improvement
- Monitoring wastage and efficiency
- Ensuring targets are met
- Prior experience of manufacturing environment (Ideally food)
- Must be motivated and able to use initiative
- Leadership and communication skills
- Must be able to competently use Microsoft Office package
