The ContinU Plus Academ! y is an innovative and exciting free school opening in September 2013. We aim toprovide outstanding provision for disaffected and vulnerable pupils in the Wyre Forest. As part of an individualised and forward thinking approach to more holistic education, we will deliver a significant proportion of the key stage 3 curriculum through thematic studies around a big idea such as "adaptability" or "challenge", linking humanities, the arts, science, technology and outdoor education. At present we are considering a curriculum based on either the International Middle Years Curriculum or the Opening Minds Curriculum. This will be a key talking point at interview and the successful candidate will influence the decision.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to lead, teach and coordinate the Key stage 3 curriculum at the CPA from September 2013.
You must be:
An excellent teacher
Committed to making a difference.
Someone who has high expectations of students and collea! gues.
Excited about teaching and learning through an innovative curriculum model.
Keen to teach years 7, 8 and 9
Able to deliver key stage 3 humanities in a thematic manner
Able to develop the curriculum
Willing to liaise with other staff teaching this curriculum, monitor their planning and quality control provision
