Are you a Materials Engineer looking for a team leade! r position, working in an exciting, cutting edge environment, and offering training and career development?
The role is working for a company offering excellent benefits, including pension, free parking, subsidised lunch and a 1PM finish on a Friday.
Working at our client’s main UK site, your role will involve the research, development and manufacture of materials. These requirements include physical, chemical, thermal,
erosion, mechanical and ballistic properties under extreme conditions of temperature, pressure, vibration and age. The materials themselves cover a wide range including
metals, plastics, polymers, composites and ceramics.

Duties include:
Formulating polymeric insulation / inhibition materials, double base and composite propellants to meet design requirements.
Developing associated material and component manufacturing processes.
Team Leading the Materials department, a team of 8 staff

To apply you must! have the following essential skills:

• Time se! rved and academic Chemical Engineering experience
• Knowledge of Polymer chemistry, moulding, extrusion and casting of polymeric based components, and bonding of metallic and polymeric components.
• Demonstrable evidence of working in a team leading or managerial role and process improvement.

This position is paying up to £40K, for a 37 hour week.
Please note that this role requires UK defence security clearance to SC level as a minimum, you must be eligible for SC clearable to apply for this role
