Objectives
Ensure that all mail processing teams provide high quality services according to contractual service level requirements
Effective management of staff
Key Responsibilities
Effective and professional supervisor by:
Ensure all teams complete all mail handling activities in line with contractual service level requi! rements
Monitor and effectively manage attendance, absence and holidays reporting to management / HR as required
Manage the performance of staff and address capability and performance issues ensuring all necessary documentation is produced
Proactively look for continuous improvements in terms of both quality and productivity
Report any areas of concern to the Site Manager
Comply with all processes and procedures to support multi skilled training
Assist in the recruitment, induction, training and development of all team members
Attend regular staff briefings to include general communications, Health and Safety, training
Promote a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with current legislation and both Company and customer policy
Ensure Company standards for environmental management systems and procedures are applied
Undertake any other duties and ad hoc tasks that may reason! ably be expected by the Supervisor
Actively demonstrate the co! mpany values of âIntegrity, Teamwork, Excellence and Respectâ in all actions and behaviours
Adhere to the Company dress code
Job Specification
Provide a flexible service by:
Flexible approach and ability to work as part of a team in a multi skilled mail processing centre environment
Demonstrating a flexible attitude by undertaking any ad hoc tasks considered reasonable by the Site Manager
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
PC literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Access)
Previous experience in a supervisory role in a production environment
Good all round time management and organisational skills
Good reading and writing skills
Good numeracy skills
Abide by and promote good Health and Safety practices in the workplace
Personal Qualities
Highly motivated and capable of multi-tasking, coupled with a team player! attitude
Good influencing and motivational skills
Ability to communicate well at all levels.
Manages time efficiently, plans and prioritises work activities of self and others
Courteous, helpful and âcan doâ attitude
Reasonable flexibility to meet business needs
