Acre has been engaged by a leading retailer to recruit a CR Manager, who will provide strategic guidance and leadership on animal welfare, agriculture and horticulture, as part of this growing team.
The company has taken significant steps to address their sustainability impacts , and this role presents the opportunity to be a part of a step-change programme which will drive performance improvement across all areas of the business. Sitting within the buying team, the individua! l will:
Develop targets and key performance indicator! s for implementation across the business
Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities for performance improvements, and partner them in guiding change management within their businesses
Manage a small team of assistants to deliver agriculture sustainability projects
Act as subject-matter expert on animal welfare issues, providing regular briefings and reports to the executive team
Produce copy and content for sustainability pages on the company website and annual report
Coordinate and manage external consultants, ensuring project delivery to deadline
This is an exciting role within a fast-paced organisation, and the individual will need to demonstrate strong commercial acumen in order to successfully fulfil the duties of this role. You will also have:
Previous agriculture and/or fisheries strategic development and delivery experience within a commercial environment
People management and supervis! ion skills
A degree (or equivalent) qualification in a related area, supported by practical in-house experience
Sound understanding of sustainable supply chain issues globally
A flexible working approach to allow for the ever-changing nature of the team
